It has been a busy few weeks. Lots of travel and lots of connecting.
I managed to fly out to Dallas for Jeffery Combs More Heart Than Talent conference. I didn’t know what to expect as I hadn’t been to a Jeffery Comb event before. Let me tell you this, if you get the opportunity, take it. Actually, make your own opportunity.
Jeffery put together an amazing line up of speakers. There were legends of the industry like Tom “Big Al” Schreiter, Todd Falcone, and Jeffery himself. There were up and coming internet stars (if 7 figures is up and coming) like Brian Finale, Cedrick Harris, and my friend and mentor Mark Hoverson.
If you get a chance to go to a live event, make sure you do so. As most of us are internet marketers, most of what we do is behind the computer by ourselves in our home office (be that a real office, the kitchen table, a corner of the living room, whatever) and we don’t get to meet others doing what we do. Hey, there’s a real world out there, and others are fighting the same battles you are fighting. Get out there and network! Meet people. Trade ideas. Collaborate and form joint ventures. Some of the greatest relationships I have developed in this industry have been through live events. (Come to think of it, all the close ties I have, I have connected with at live events.)

More Heart Than Talent, Dallas, with Jeffery Combs & Mark Hoverson

Jeffery Combs is holding his More Heart Than Talent conference in Dallas Texas on January 7 to 9, 2010. As Jeffery puts it, this conference is not about motivation but about mindset. You can know all the techniques and strategies there are but if your mindset is not where it needs to be, your business success is going to be hampered.
Some of the stellar speaker lineup include the following:
- Jeffery Combs – Jeffery is a veteran million dollar earner in the network marketing industry.
- Tom “Big Al” Schreiter – Big Al is one of the legends in the business. And he cracks me up every time I hear him.
- Todd Falcone – Another legend in the network marketing industry with 18 years of experience.
- Brian Fanale – Brian co-founded MLM Lead System Pro, one of the leading MLM systems in the world.
- Mark Hoverson – Mark is one of the new breed of internet network marketers and he joined the million dollar club in less than 24 months. Mark happens to be my sponsor and one of my mentors.
If you are interested in kick-starting your business in 2010 I highly recommend you go to More Heart Than Talent.
Even thought there are a lot of old school network marketing trainers speaking, a lot of their knowledge is still extremely important and applicable in the internet age. When it comes down to it, network marketing is about networking and that means relating to people. These guys (and gals) are masters of this.
And for you internet network marketers, you need to get out of the home office sometimes. There are other people out there doing what you are doing and it is great to get out and meet some of your colleagues. Some of the best relationships I have were forged at some training or networking event. So I highly recommend attending this.
And make sure you bring your camcorder – a Flip or Kodak zi8 is highly recommended. You can get some awesome interviews to boost your YouTube video marketing.
